How Do We Protect Your Listing From Endless Price Competition While Boosting Sales?

Three concrete examples of how EpicRise approaches brand protection and channel management once we are authorized: bundled configurations on Honeywell, unit-level authentication on SNBC, and in-house warranty support on every brand we carry.

The most effective tools shut down unauthorized and counterfeit sellers at the root, rather than chasing them down one by one.

Part 1

Why Listings Race to the Bottom

You already know the pattern. Your product listed at a price you never approved. A distributor calling to say they cannot hold margin. Half the sellers on the page you do not recognize, and no one can say where their inventory came from.

It is not your pricing team. It is the buy box. One listing is shared by every seller of that product, and the buy box is the single offer a shopper clicks. Price wins it. For a reseller with nothing else to compete on, undercutting is the only way onto the listing, and each one who does it pulls the next one lower.

One listing, one buy box
Buy box — wins the sale Lowest-priced seller
Every other seller
Including the authorized partner holding MAP
Hidden behind “other sellers”

To reach a buyer at all, the next seller has to undercut. Then the next. The floor keeps moving down.

This is why MAP alone has not fixed it. Your policy binds the partners who signed it and does nothing to the dozen who never did, and every takedown you file removes one seller from a queue that refills.

So we treat it as a sourcing problem, not a pricing one. Once authorized, we bundle warranty and configurations only the authorized channel can supply, authenticate every unit through Amazon Transparency, and back the sale with in-house support the gray market cannot match. The MAP price then holds without anyone defending it. Three examples:

Part 2

How We Protect the Listing

Bundle what only an authorized partner can assemble. Authenticate every unit so unauthorized product cannot be listed. Back the sale with support the gray market cannot offer. All three ran on live listings with the brand’s cooperation, and none depends on filing takedowns after the damage is done.

01

Bundled Configurations — Honeywell CT47

The CT47 is a high-value B2B rugged Android handheld built for warehouse and logistics use. On this listing we bundle Honeywell’s Gold 3-Year Warranty alongside different charging base configurations, so the buyer chooses a package rather than a bare unit. The 5-Bay Fleet Kit sits at $3,449 with the warranty and $3,049 without, and the certificate is issued through Amazon Message after purchase. That has kept gray market and refurbished units from undercutting the listing.

The warranty as a buyable option — CT47-X1N-58D1E0G 5-Bay Fleet Kit

The Gold 3-Year Warrantyis a selectable option, not a footnote: $3,449 with, $3,049 without.

The variation grid is the moat. Charging base and warranty are selectable options, so the price a shopper sees is tied to a configuration only an authorized partner can assemble.

Warranty is the part gray market cannot supply. Gold coverage is issued through the authorized channel. A parallel-import unit has no path to it.

Comparison shifts off unit price. A B2B buyer weighing a $3,449 fleet kit is deciding on total cost of ownership, not the cheapest line item.

02

Amazon Transparency Enrollment — SNBC

SNBC is a China-based receipt printer brand. Unauthorized resellers were sourcing units from other regions instead of going through SNBC’s authorized U.S. distributor, competing on its listings with product that never passed through the channel. Working with SNBC, we are rolling Amazon Transparency out across the product line, one ASIN at a time. Where codes are live, five or six unauthorized resellers have come off the listing. They cannot list product without valid codes. The two figures below show different products at different stages of that rollout.

Product A — SNBC BTP-M300A (ASIN B0FNS18RC4), live listing
Product A — SNBC BTP-M300A (ASIN B0FNS18RC4), live listing

Codes live. Four connectivity variants, one offer, and no unauthorized sellers competing on it.

Product B — SNBC BTP-R180II (ASIN B09G3G35XD), enrollment record
Product B — SNBC BTP-R180II (ASIN B09G3G35XD), enrollment record

A separate product, shown mid-rollout: enrolled andIn OPR since 08/11/2026, so codes are now applied to every unit entering the channel.

How it works
Step 01
Code per unit

Every unit is assigned a unique authentication code at the brand.

Step 02
Scanned at fulfillment

Codes are scanned on the way into the fulfillment network.

Step 03
Verified at sale

Only legitimately sourced units can be sold under the listing.

03

In-House Warranty and Support — Every Brand We Carry

Every eligible unit we sell carries a complimentary EpicRise 1-Year Limited Warranty, on top of whatever the manufacturer provides. Warranty work is handled by our own technicians at our Wilmington facility rather than routed back to the factory, so a buyer gets a repair instead of a shipping label.

Part 3

What It Changes

All three move the same lever: they make the listing something only an authorized seller can legitimately serve.

Lever
Effect on the listing
Configuration variants
Comparison moves from unit price to package fit
Bundled warranty
Gray market and refurbished units cannot match the offer, and cannot supply the service the listing promises
Transparency codes
Five or six unauthorized sellers came off the listing
EpicRise 1-year warranty
In-house support the unauthorized channel cannot match

The result is a listing that stops rewarding the seller with the thinnest margin. Price competition on an authorized listing is usually a sourcing problem, and it is solved upstream, where product enters the channel.

How We Frame It

“Amazon’s Transparency program is one of the more effective tools for shutting down unauthorized and counterfeit sellers at the root, rather than chasing them down one by one.””

Beyond This Case: Who This Is For

None of these plays is specific to Honeywell or SNBC. Any brand with a defined U.S. channel and product moving between regions runs into the same pattern, and the same levers apply.

It works best for brands that recognize themselves in any of these:

A MAP policy that no one is enforcing.  The policy exists, the listing tells a different story.

Sellers you cannot account for.  Product on the listing that never passed through your U.S. distributor.

High-value B2B hardware.  Handhelds, printers, networking and VoIP gear, where warranty and support decide the purchase.

Refurbished units competing with new.  Condition ambiguity on the listing costs you the sale and the review score.

Brand protection is not a legal function bolted onto a sales channel. It is how the channel is built.

Alongside brand protection, EpicRise also provides:
