The Megger MIT420/2 (1006-740) is a high-performance insulation and continuity tester designed for both electrical and industrial applications, with extended versatility for use in cable testing, motor diagnostics, avionics, automotive, ESD, panel building, and general maintenance. Built for accuracy and durability, it features feedback-controlled insulation test voltages that maintain precision within +2%/-0%, significantly tighter than the typical industry tolerance of +20%. This minimizes the risk of over-voltage damage to sensitive components. Continuity testing is faster and more efficient with a single auto-ranging function from 0.01 ohms to 1.0 MΩ, replacing traditional fixed "ohms" and "kilo-ohms" ranges. The tester is housed in a rugged, over-molded IP54-rated case with a back-stand and a 6-cell battery compartment for field-ready performance in challenging environments.
